An area for discussing the potential for an external hard drive-based library system
So the idea has been brought up to use club funds to purchase an external hard drive that will contain the shows that are currently in disk form in our library. Several of you have heard of it, and the officers have approved the idea. Now we just need to get a generalized approval from the members as a whole. As of me writing this, 1 TB externals run about 100-130 dollars, 2 TB 120-150, and 3 TB 180-200 dollars.
We also need to keep in mind the cost of casing and any additional cables for the club. Sadly, I doubt many members of the club even look at these forums and will remain blissfully unaware of anything we do unless we smack them up the head to pay attention during club…
Sadly, most of them will not pay attention at all.
What if we steal their magic cards?
So do you plan on talking about this during announcements or “NEXT YEAR PLANNING” hour?
