What are your top 10 favorite anime?

Because I was bored ( or procrastinating on hw, same thing right 😉  I decided to make a list of my favorite Anime so far.  As I was going through my list I realized that it isn’t very long.  Which means I don’t know enough anime yet……

Maybe other people know more…

So follow my scattered train of thought….

Lemmee see…. this is how I feel at the moment.
My utter top 3, I think, in no particular order:
~Puella Magi Madoka Magica (I loved it before I knew it was mega-popular… /proud)
~Wolf’s Rain (Awesome post-apocalyptical fiction, and it has Yoko Kanno’s BAMF music)
~Revolutionary Girl Utena (This makes my inner literary & artistic nut explode with glee.)

My other top 7, perhaps more likely to change with time (and again, in order of what comes to mind)
~Evangelion TV series (in midst of 1st rewatch, waiting for s#!t to start hitting the fan…)
~Mawaru Penguindrum (more wacky stuff from Utena’s creator… AND OH PENGUINS)
~Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal OVA
~Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo
~Cowboy Bebop
~Kids on the Slope, aka Sakimichi no Apollon
~Fullmetal Alchemist (original anime/Brotherhood)

I’m also relatively limited in what I’ve seen. Most of these will probably be things I discovered in Anime Club last year, actually, lol. But, off the top of my head:

1. Ao no Exorcist (Christian mythology + Japanese mythology = awesome.)
2. Death Note (Two words: Mind gaaaaames. <3)
3. Dragon Ball Z (Blame my older brother. But seriously, I love this show for its characters and philosophies. Plus the music in the English dub is effin' fantastic.)
4. Naruto (Super long, but worth it for the many fascinating characters and extremely detailed universe.)
5. No. 6 (Short but phenomenal. Also if you like the anime then GO READ the online translation of the book. It's blowing my mind and I want a copy!)
6. Ouran High School Host Club (Still makes me laugh uncontrollably no matter how many times I watch it. Best shoujo ever in my opinion. :3 )
7. Rurouni Kenshin (OMIGAH the philosophy. Also swordsmanship is awesome.)
8. Soul Eater (Genuinely CREEPY moments. Unforgettable characters and story.)
9. Steins;Gate (Prepare to have your mind blown. Then sewn back together, stomped on a few times, and blown apart again. Plot twists and mind%!&#s galore.)
10. Trigun (Vash is one of my favorite heroes from ANYTHING EVER, for a number of reasons. This is saying something, because I REALLY love some of the heroes from other anime, books, games, etc.)

Also Hetalia, if that even counts, haha. 😀 And of course if we're including movies, then anything by Miyazaki Hayao is automatically #1.
