Community Building:
We plan to play some simple games during meet and greet to help members to get a little closer/build community. We will also be trying to instigate discussion between shows about what we just watched to help fill the awkward silence between shows.
“Gathering of the Geeks” Convention:
They still want us, they are wanting to watch an anime (which they likely haven’t bought the rights to) and we need them to understand that we have nothing to do with the convention and we need to make sure their potential showing doesn’t point back to our club.
Interviews:
Victoria Murphy is a member of Anime Club and she is wanting to interview some of her fellow club members for her folklore class about cosplay! She will be interviewing people on a voluntary basis during the club meeting this Friday about their experience with cosplay and anime. She has emailed a number of members that had shown interest in Naka, but I’m sure there are others of you who have your own experiences with cosplay and such that could help her along in her assignment. We will be mentioning her during announcements in club.
