Anime Club of Truman – Club Minutes – 4/2/2017
Meeting called to order at: 1:04 PM

Show Schedule:
7:00 – 8:00 PM Sgt. Frog
8:00 – 9:00 PM Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts (nosebleeds, violence, a lot of fanservice)

9:00 – 9:30 PM Third episode of Baka and Test
9:30 – 10:00 PM DanMachi ep.13 (violence, blood, fanservice)
10:00 – 11:00 PM Baccano! Ep. 13-14 (violence, gore/body horror)
12:00 – Midnight Jacob’s Oh No! Hour

Room Lottery:
President to contact previous president in order to clarify process of getting 6 hours. Lottery is due next week. Do we want to reserve a table on the quad for the first week of classes in the fall? Officers think that would be good!

Ongoing Ending:
DanMachi ends this week. We have voted to watch three episodes of one of our Grab Bag shows to fill in the half hour. Next week we will have a full hour to fill (9-10). We will vote in club this coming Friday (4/7/2017) as to the fate of that hour. The meeting of the 7th will also be the last day we watch Baccano! And thus will need to vote on that future as well.

Gathering of the Geeks:
It went well! Only did the reading corner. Not many new people came to the event, the attendees were mostly people in other clubs. Club and Sara made money, and we owe Megan $10. Megan droppin’ the ball.

Study Abroad Presentation by Hara-sensei:
Summer of 2018
Kyoto (4 wks), Hiroshima (2 wks), and Tokyo (2 wks)
Participate in traditional japanese ceremonies, learn some of the language, see things most tourists wouldn’t!
Cost is around $8,000 (includes everything! Tuition, travel, etc.)
July to mid-August

Fundraising:
Last heard that only 3 people had emailed kelly. Fundraising is important! We need help getting our funds up to where they should be. We need help for Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:30 PM.

Discussions:
Discuss anime from previous week during “Meet, Greet, Discuss”. This sounds like a good idea to get members to interact with each other and have fun/catch-up on events of previous meeting.

The Club Bank Account:
Mahala Thompson and Ben Dobbs are to be added to the Truman State University Anime Club bank account.
Kelly needs to work with the bank.

Pause to Facebook Stalk Caleb’s Brother
Caleb accidentally took the battery out of the Secretary’s computer while trying to stalk, said brother. Note from Caleb the webmaster: I was not trying to stalk my own brother, that'd be weird, I was just enabling the other officers to do so because they wanted to.
Additionally, Zach insults Molly by saying she looks like a blobfish.

End of Year Party:
Historically it has been the last saturday before finals/the saturday after the last friday of regular classes.
Caleb will ask talk to CSI to find out when we can do the EOY Party!
